Careena Fenton will join us to demonstrate how she develops paranormal shows for historic venues. She will also discuss how she creates bizarre character-driven shows and how you can.
Although a relative newcomer to the Bizarre magic scene, she won first place at The Screaming Goat Competition at the East Coast Spirit Session in the USA in 2018 and in 2020, was awarded the Eugene Burger Legacy Award from the McBride School of Mystery and Magic in Las Vegas. Careena is researching for a doctorate in the intersection of performance magic, spiritualism and witchcraft at the University of Birmingham.
In a nutshell: The lecture covers content creation, marketing, financing shows, and performance/explanation of original seance routines and scripts.
Colin Dymond, Events and Lecture Officer at Cotswolds Society:
Thanks for an amazing lecture last night. It was brilliant, a great change from the usual trick, trick, trick. I’ve already had members telling me how much they enjoyed it. I would thoroughly recommend you to any club looking for an amazing evening.
What a wonderful Lecture it was. Entertaining, informative, well structured and delightfully delivered. A thoroughly good evening had by all in attendance. A huge well done and many thanks from NWMC.
