In 2008 Blackpool Magicians’ Club acquired their very first theatre club room and headquarters in Blackpool; they went on to completely renovate the theatre venue to create an exciting new home for this world famous organisation. The venue boasts a 100 seater theatre show room and lecture room, a close-up magic parlour, a well stocked magical library, a fascinating magic museum and historical magical curiosities display, an in-house magic shop and a fully licensed bar and cafe area. The theatre is fully equipped with audio/visual facilities for conferencing, PowerPoint presentations and video camera projections. It also hosts a full stage lighting system and PA facilities, along with dressing rooms areas.

The committee and members worked tirelessly to create the fabulous new home for the club and look forward to many wonderful years in this incredible venue.

The Blackpool Magicians’ Club Headquarters has already attracted interest in corporate and private venue bookings. It has been used on several occasions as a filming location for the production of Magic DVD’s by French magic star David Stone and Russ Stevens, RSVP.

On 13th November 2008 the Blackpool Magicians’ Club Headquarters was officially opened by Honorary Life President, Ken Dodd OBE. The long time associate of the club opened the celebrations by cutting the ribbon along with the 2008 club president, Harry Robson. The evening was attended by numerous celebrities such as comedian Roy Walker and welcomed a host of magical dignitaries to celebrate the opening. The fantastic evening show kicked off with comedy duo Clive Webb and Danny Adams, followed by Ventriloquist Neville King and to close, Illusion Act Amethyst. Ken Dodd rounded off the evening in style, although could have gone on until the early hours!

In 2009, Blackpool Magicians’ Club were proud to announce that their headquarters were to play host to the UK exclusive visit of Jeff McBride’s Mystery School. This became a rare opportunity for magicians to experience the intense 3 day magic course and development workshop with two of the world’s finest teachers.
